Over 30 people have on Friday, been killed in a joint attack on Ayati community in Ukum Local Government Area (LGA), of Benue State.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to Local sources; attack on the community was carried out jointly by armed herdsmen and some local bandits.
The source added that number of deaths could be more than thirty, as many are missing, while some residents fled the area, after the attack.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Benue State Police Command, SP Sewuese Anene confirmed the attack, noting that officers are on ground, though she is yet to be briefed on the matter.
