Lagos State Government has announced the launch of its online tax platform, the Lagos Revenue Portal (LRP), on August 15.
Gatekeepers News reports that the platform aims to streamline and simplify the tax payment process for individuals and corporate entities.
Abdul-Kabir Ogungbo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, stated, “This innovation is designed to simplify how Lagos residents and corporate entities perform their civic responsibilities in form of tax payment, making the entire process more efficient, convenient, and secure.”
The LRP will aggregate all bills and payments across ministries, departments, and agencies in Lagos State, providing a one-stop shop for taxpayers. Residents can handle and print bills, make payments online, and access payment history.
Ogungbo highlighted the advantages of the portal, including instant revenue receipt, amendment and reversal request of payment, and a thorough view of payment history. The initiative aims to improve residents’ overall experience, offering prompt assistance and encouraging ease of conducting business in the state.
