Nigeria’s crude oil production saw a significant increase in July, reaching 1.307 million barrels per day, according to OPEC’s monthly oil market report.

Gatekeepers News reports that this represents a 30,000-barrel daily increase from June’s production figure of 1.276 million barrels.

The data, obtained through direct communication with Nigerian authorities, shows Nigeria maintaining its position as Africa’s largest oil producer, followed closely by Libya, which produced 1.175 million barrels per day in July.

However, the production figure still falls short of OPEC’s 1.5 million barrel production quota set for Nigeria.

The Nigerian government, through NNPCL, aims to reach 2 million barrels per day by the end of December 2024.
