President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, arrived at Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea for a three-day official visit.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tinubu was invited by President of the country, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Tinubu arrived Presidential Wing of Malabo International Airport around 2:07 pm and was received by Prime Minister of the country, Manuela Roka Botey.
The president was welcomed in a brief ceremony before heading to Presidential Palace in the city.
His itinerary shows that there would be a private meeting between the two presidents followed by signing of bilateral agreements focusing on various areas, including oil and gas, security, and others.
Tinubu will subsequently sign a historic visitors’ book, followed by release of a press statement, and then a dinner to close the day.
The President was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar; Defense, Abubakar Badaru; and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo; Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Others are Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi; Youth Development, Jamila Ibrahim-Bio; Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari; amongst others.
