A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck off east coast of Kamchatka region in Russia.
Gatekeepers News reports that European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) revealed that the earthquake hit at a depth of 51 km (32 miles) on Saturday.
Also, National Tsunami Warning Centre revealed that there was a tsunami threat from the quake.
According to United States (US) Geological Survey report; the earthquake struck off coast of Russia’s far-eastern Kamchatka Peninsula early Sunday morning local time.
It struck in the waters off Kamchatka Peninsula just after 7 a.m., some 90 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
