Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in collaboration with security experts and Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), is set to host the launch of a commemorative book titled ‘Readings in Policing, Peace, and Security: A Festschrift’ in Honour of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced through a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Sunday.
According to the statement; the event is scheduled to take place at Nigeria Police Force Resource Centre in Jabi, Abuja on Tuesday, 20 August 2024.
The book celebrates exemplary leadership and significant contributions of IGP Egbetokun to peace, security, and policing in Nigeria.
It features insightful contributions from renowned scholars, practitioners, and stakeholders in the fields of peace, security, and humanitarian studies.
The book highlights the IGP’s visionary leadership, innovative policing strategies, and commitment to community engagement.
The ceremony will be graced by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The book launch will be attended by dignitaries, security experts, academics, and stakeholders to celebrate the IGP’s achievements and reflect on the future of policing in Nigeria.
Festschrift symbolises a testament to IGP Egbetokun’s leadership and is considered a valuable resource for future generations, reflecting collective endorsement of both the individual and administration led by IGP Egbetokun within Nigeria Police Force.
