Operatives of Lagos State Police Command have arrested and detained a woman, 25, for allegedly diverting N3 million belonging to a company into her account.
Gatekeepers News reports that Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday.
Hundeyin revealed that the suspect whose name was witheld and some of her co-workers, in a catering company, conspired and diverted money gotten from sale of the company’s products into their personal accounts.
The PRO noted that the suspects only remitted a fraction of the money to the company’s account.
He said, “Over N3 million has so far been traced to the detained suspect’s account.”
“She is in detention under a remand warrant. An investigation is ongoing.”
