Beyoncé has unveiled her latest venture, a whiskey brand called ‘SirDavis’, in partnership with Moët Hennessy and master distiller Bill Lumsden.
Gatekeepers News reports that the brand is a tribute to her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, and also nods to her son, Sir.
The whiskey is described as “a marriage of the complexity of rye with the elegance of malted barley, finished to perfection in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, creating a harmony of spice with sublime hints of fruit.”
Beyoncé announced the launch on Instagram, sharing a letter to her great-grandfather and reflecting on his legacy.
“I feel you in the landscapes. Your laughter rolling in the rye. What songs did you sing? What gaps did you fill? Great-grandfather, did you dream of me? Your legacy is a force that drives me. For you, I raise my glass to legacy,” she wrote.
The 750ml bottle is available for preorder at $89.99, and a brand home is set to open in Houston in 2025.
This launch follows Beyoncé’s recent ventures into hair care and fragrance.
