Twenty medical students kidnapped in Benue State have been rescued.
Gatekeepers News reports that security sources close to the office of the National Security Adviser confirmed this to Channels Television on Friday.
The operation was coordinated by the NSA.
Security agencies involved in the rescue mission include the Nigerian police, the Department of State Services, and military personnel with the support of the Benue state government.
Earlier, the police deployed helicopters in an effort to rescue abducted medical students.
Gunmen had abducted over 20 medical and dental students and a house officer in Benue State on August 16.
