First-class Emir in Bauchi state, Emir of Ningi, Yunusa Danyaya is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that the emir passed away on Sunday morning after a protracted illness at a hospital in Kano.
Secretary to Ningi Emirate Council, Alhaji Usman Sule confirmed his tragic demise through a statement released on Sunday.
According to him; the emir died at Expert Alliance Hospital, Kano, two days after returning from a medical trip to Mecca on August 22.
Sule noted that the funeral prayer of the emir would be held at Emir’s palace in Ningi by 4:00 pm today.
Until his death, he was a member of Bauchi State Council of Chiefs and Nigerian Coincil of Traditional Rulers.
The deceased became Emir of Ningi in 2009.
