A former England manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, is dead. He aged 76
Gatekeepers News reports that Eriksson’s family confirmed his death on Monday in a terse statement.
“Sven-Goran Eriksson has passed away. After a long illness, SGE died during the morning at home surrounded by family.”
Eriksson had been battling pancreatic cancer and had revealed earlier this year that he had only a year to live “at best”.
Throughout his career, he managed several top European clubs, including Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and Lazio.
