Chidimma Adetshina, former Miss South Africa contestant has been crowned the winner of 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.
Gatekeepers News reports that the beauty queen won against twenty-five other contestants in the second edition of the competition which was held on Saturday at Eko Hotel, Lagos.
Paula Ezendu who represented Anambra was named first runner-up while Peace Ayegbidan of Ondo was named second runner-up.
Speaking after she was crowned, Chidimma described the crown as a “call for action”.
She said, “This crown is not for beauty but a call for action.”
Recall that Chidimma initially contested for this year’s Miss South Africa pageant but withdrew after her mother was accused of identity theft and was backlashed by South Africans.
She was subsequently invited to contest in Miss Universe Nigeria pageant and competed as Miss Taraba State.
