Aliko Dangote, the chairman of Dangote Industries Limited, has confirmed the start of petrol production at his refinery.
Gatekeepers News reports that this milestone was announced on Tuesday, with Dangote showcasing a bottle of the product, also known as premium motor spirit (PMS), on television.
The refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, commenced operations in January and initially focused on producing diesel and aviation fuel.
Dangote emphasised that the petrol from the plant can rival products from other regions in terms of quality.
