NAF Kill 28 Bandits In DSS Facilities Attack

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has foiled a
terrorist attack on Department of State Services (DSS) facilities in Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger state.

Gatekeepers News reports that Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on Lake Chad region revealed that the air force deployed Tucano jets after it received intelligence about the planned ambush by suspected terrorists on DSS assets in the LGA.

Zagazola Makama said the airstrikes killed many bandits and two operatives of DSS died during the shootout.

It said, “The bodies of at least 28 bandits have been recovered, with many more scattered across the area.”

“In addition to the human toll, several weapons and motorcycles used by the bandits have been recovered by security forces.”

“Two DSS personnel paid the supreme price during a gun battle with the bandits.”
The NAF authorities have not issued any statement on the incident.”
