President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state to condole with the government and people of the state over the recent disaster caused by flood.
Gatekeepers News reports that flood which occurred last week Tuesday morning displaced many residents and destroyed properties in Fori, Galtimari, Gwange, and Bulabulin areas of the state.
The incident was due to the collapse of Alau dam, which had been at full capacity for some weeks.
Borno state Government has opened 36 camps to cater for thousands of IDPs.
Tinubu was received on arrival by Governor Babagana Zulum.
He is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kaneni, and then head to one of the camps to address Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
