Diddy Indicted On Sex Trafficking And Racketeering Charges

Iconic US rapper and media mogul, Sean John Combs popularly known as P. Diddy, Puff Daddy has been indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Gatekeepers News reports that the federal indictment was unsealed a few hours after Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested the singer at Park Hyatt New York hotel on Tuesday.

The fifty-four-year-old celebrity was charged over multiple allegations levied against him by several women, including his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Ventura had in November 2023, filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their decade-long relationship.

He was accused of being a serial domestic abuser, with claims of frequently assaulting Ventura, leaving her with black eyes, bruises, and other injuries.

The case was settled out of court a day after it was filed, as Diddy denied all accusations, referring to them as offensive and outrageous, and accused his former girlfriend of extortion.

Rodney Jones aka Lil Rod, Diddy’s former producer also filed a separate lawsuit, accusing the rapper of sexually harassing, drugging, and threatening him over a year.

In addition to other series of incidents, the rapper was charged over a 2024 default judgment in Michigan, where an inmate was awarded $100 million after filing a sexual assault lawsuit against him.

Also, Diddy has been criticised publicly over a video from eight years ago that went around earlier this year. He was seen physically assaulting Ventura. The rapper later issued an apology, admitting his actions were “inexcusable.”

In March 2024, United States Department of Homeland Security raided two properties linked to Diddy as part of their investigation into the allegations.

The rapper is yet to release a statement on the charges and arrest.
