Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced airlifting election materials for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to Edo State, ahead of the September 21 governorship election.
Gatekeepers News reports that the development, according to Kabiru Ali, NAF’s Deputy Director of Public Relations, fulfils the commitment made by Chief of Air Staff, Hasan Abubakar, to INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.
“This airlift demonstrates the NAF’s commitment to fulfilling its constitutional role of providing Military Aid to Civil Authority,” the statement reads.
