Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has set up a ‘Journalists Monitoring Situation Room’ at the press centre in Benin City to monitor the 2024 Edo State Governorship Election today, September 21.
Gatekeepers News reports that Journalists and the public can follow updates on the union’s Facebook page (EDO NUJ) and other designated channels.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo state council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, the NUJ President, Dr Chris Isiguzo, will oversee the Situation Room.
The union also released some mobile phone numbers to call for updates and other necessary information.

The statement also advised journalists to ensure safety first as they cover the governorship election and appealed to security agents for protection.
