‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’, a film produced by the Box office queen, Funke Akindele also known as Jenifa is set to premiere in cinemas on December 13.
Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced through a funny promotional video posted on the actress’ official Instagram page.
In the video, the cast of her last cinema film ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ which was directed by Jenifer and her ex-husband, JJC Skillz, and ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’’ engaged in a tug of war to determine which one of them should premiere this year.
The completion was won by the cast of the new project and Funke announced the ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ release date.
The actress empowered 175 crew members, mostly youths for the upcoming self-funded project which is coined from ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, a popular TV comedy series she created in 2015.
‘Jenifa’s Diary’ which stars Funke Akindele as Jenifa tells the tale of a village girl from Ayetoro who moves to Lagos in search of a better life.
