Former Chief of Staff of Edo State, Taiwo Francis Akerele, has expressed his confidence in the incoming administration of Governor-elect Monday Okpebolo, predicting a period of accelerated economic growth, transparency, and social inclusion for the state.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement released on Friday, Akerele congratulated his friend Okpebholo, on his victory in the recent Edo State gubernatorial election.

He emphasised that the people of Edo can expect a government that prioritises homegrown economic development, transparency in governance, and the equitable distribution of benefits among all citizens.

Akerele described Senator Okpebholo as a visionary leader with a proven track record of action-oriented governance. He recalled his observations of the Governor-elect during the APC primaries and subsequent campaign, noting his genuine concern for the welfare of the people and his commitment to the greater good.

“Senator Okpebholo is a man whose vision transcends mere rhetoric,” Akerele stated. “I have no doubt that he will assemble a capable team to steer the affairs of Edo State and deliver on his promises.”

The former Chief of Staff highlighted the Governor-elect’s five-point agenda, which focuses on education, healthcare, food security, and infrastructure development. He expressed his belief that under Senator Okpebolo’s leadership, Edo State will witness significant improvements in these key areas.

Akerele also extended his congratulations to Dennis Idahosa, the Deputy Governor-elect, whom he described as a trusted friend.

He emphasised that with Okpebholo and Idahosa at the helm, Edo State is in capable hands and poised for a new era of progress and prosperity.
