Police command in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has dismissed rumours of an alleged plan by some unknown people to abduct students from University of Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that spokesperson of the command, Josephine Adeh in a statement released on Friday, said the report is baseless.
She said, “The report is nothing but baseless publications propagated by rumour mongers aiming to create unfounded panic and apprehension among FCT residents and university community.”
Adeh reiterated the command’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of FCT residents.
The spokesperson noted that personnel and equipment have been deployed to enhance security within FCT.
She urges residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.
