Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has sparked fresh controversy among fans by reviving his long-time beef with his colleague, Davido.
Gatekeepers News reports that it began when Davido took to his official X account on Tuesday, to tell his fans to anticipate his upcoming single for the year.
Davido wrote, “First single of the year loading . Happy Independence Day .”
A close associate of Davido, Tycoone then posted a provocative statement, challenging the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner to release his long-delayed album.
Tycoone tweeted, “Tell your daddy to drop na.”
It didn’t sit well with Wizkid who clapped back and attacked Davido.
He dismissed any notion of a serious feud called Davido “wack” with “no talent”.
Wizkid said mocking him, “I don’t beef wack niggas. We all know he’s wack, no talent. 80 trash, we got 80 songs for any album you all drop. Una don tire? Make una go rest.”
It has since sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing enthusiasm and others calling for peace between the two singers.
