FG Launches Portal For Youths To Access CNG-Powered Tricycles

PCNGI Celebrates Independence With CNG Adoption Push
Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a portal to provide youths with access to compressed natural gas (CNG) powered tricycles.

Gatekeepers News reports that Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, announced this in Abuja.

“Youths across the country can now access the portal and sign up to be merged with aggregators or owners under the Presidential CNG Initiative,” Olawande said.

“By embracing CNG, we’re building a cleaner environment and saving the nation from petrol subsidy costs.”

The portal, accessible via www.youthcng.ng and www.bci.gov.ng/tricycles, aims to provide transparent enrollment for young people.

Muhammad Hassan, National President of the National Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association, pledged support for the initiative.

Michael Oluwagbemi, Project Director and CEO of the P-CNGi, emphasised the economic benefits.

“This initiative will reduce Nigerians’ dependence on petrol, lower transportation costs, and provide employment opportunities for youths.”
