4 Die – 3 Injured In Oyo Auto Crash

Four people died while three others sustained injuries in a tragic auto accident that occurred in Ogbomoso, Oyo State on Friday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Corps Commander in the state, Rosemary Alo confirmed the accident.

Rosemary revealed that the accident occurred along Ogbomoso – Orile Igbon at Emaayo Filling Station at 11 pm on Friday.

The Corps commander noted that the accident which involved two trailers without registration numbers was caused by mechanical fault and loss of control.

She added that out of the ten people involved in the crash; four males died, while three sustained varying degrees of injuries and three others were unharmed.

Rosemary advised drivers to be cautious against poor maintenance of their vehicles and night journeys.

The incident took place when an articulated vehicle carrying chemicals was attempting to navigate a problematic area around the seminary.

She said that the bodies of the deceased were taken to Ebunoluwa Hospital, Ogbomoso where they were released to their families for burial, while the injured individuals were being treated at the hospital.

Security operatives and officials from Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) were deployed to the site to manage traffic and ensure safety.
