High court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State has ordered social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse who is better known as VeryDarkMan, to delete defamatory videos on human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN.
Gatekeepers News reports that on September 24 2024, VeryDarkMan leaked a voice call recording of cross-dresser Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) narrating how singer Falz allegedly contacted him during his six-month jail term.
Justice M. O. Dawodu who presided over the court on Tuesday ordered the critic to desist from making any comment about the Falanas again, noting that the publications were defamatory and injurious to their public image.
Dawodu stated, “According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) were false and untrue but proceeded to publish them to injure their reputation.
“Furthermore, the defamatory statements are still trending on the defendant (VeryDarkMan)’s several online platforms and the injury to their reputation continues as long as the publication remains online.”
