Jigawa Commissioner – Sankara Denies Having Illicit Affair With Married Woman

Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Sankara has denied allegations that he was arrested by Kano Hisbah Command for allegedly having an affair with a married woman.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Sankara in a statement released on Sunday, said the claims as “entirely false, baseless, and malicious” and part of a plot to tarnish his reputation.

He said, “I wish to categorically state that these allegations are entirely false, baseless, and malicious, aimed at tarnishing my reputation. I urge the general public to disregard this fabricated story, which has been concocted by certain political elements to damage my character and integrity.”

The commissioner emphasised his commitment to upholding moral values, saying that as a married man, he respects the institution of marriage.

He said, “I have the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and would never engage in actions that violate its sanctity.”

Sankara further revealed that he will pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading the false allegations.

He said, “I am taking this matter seriously and will pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading this false information and attempting to cause harm to my person.”

Sankara reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Jigawa State with dedication and integrity and urged the public to disregard the “politically motivated smear campaign.”

Kano Hisbah Command is yet to release any official statement regarding the alleged arrest.
