Nollywood Actress, Halimah Abubakar has apologised to Apostle Johnson Suleman, general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, for defaming him.
Gatekeepers News reports that Halimah had in 2022 took to social media to social media to allege that she and Apostle Suleman had a romantic relationship and the apostle threatening to sue her.
Halima also alleged in 2023 that she got pregnant thrice for Apostle Suleiman.
A federal high court in Abuja ordered Halima to pay N10 million in damages to Apostle Suleman for defamation in April 2024.
Taking back her words, the actress has now took to her official Instagram page to apologise for the false statements she made against the cleric in the past.
Halimah expressed remorse for the harm she has caused on the cleric and his family and sought their forgiveness.
The actress wrote, “I am writing to you today to acknowledge the falsehoods I made against you on social media and to offer my sincere apology.”
“After deep reflections and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm, pains and distress caused by my lies.”
“I admitted that I made false allegations against you and also regretted my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife Dr Mrs Lizzy Suleiman, your family and the leaders of Omega Fire Ministry.”
“With this letter, I humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognising that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain and distress I caused.”
