Fire has razed a small section of Lagos Blue Line track at a spot opposite NEPA Station, near Eko Bridge, in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.
Gatekeepers News reports that Gboyega Akosile, spokesman for the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the incident through a post on his X.com handle @gboyegakosile.
According to the spokesman; the incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.
Akosile noted that no casualties were recorded and there was no train service at the time the incident occurred.
The spokesman added that a team of safety and emergency personnel, along with other first responders, had completely extinguished the fire.
He concluded, “Lagosians in that area can go about their business peacefully as the situation is under control.”
