Tinubu Launches Emblem For 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the 2025 Armed Forces of Nigeria Remembrance Day emblem and appeal fund.

Gatekeepers News reports that Tinubu during the event held on Tueday at state house in Abuja, appreciated armed forces for protecting the country against external threats.

President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to welfare of troops, adding that officers who lost their lives in line duty will be honoured.

Tinubu added that his government will continue to allocate resources to address security challenges in the country.

Secretary to the government of the federation, George Akume announced the donation of N500 million to the appeal fund on behalf of the federal government.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio also donated N200 million on behalf of national assembly.

Additionally, chief of defense staff, Christopher Musa announced the donation of N50 million on behalf of service chiefs and inspector-general of police, Kayode Egbetokun.

During the event, A.M Jubril, a retired major general and chairman of Nigerian Legion, decorated the president, his vice, Akpabio, and speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas with the emblem.
