Ace Nigerian filmmaker who directed the Netflix series, ‘Shanty Town’ and TV series, ‘The Men’s Club’, Dimeji Ajibola is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that Nigerian director, Samuel Olatunji confirmed Ajibola’s passing through an Instagram post on Sunday.
The director expressed his grief at Ajibola’s death, describing the deceased as a client and friend.
He wrote, “Dimeji Ajibola was my client and friend. So sad to hear this news. Rest in peace to a great guy! Sad Sunday as the director of Shanty Town passed away.”
The deceased who studied film production at University of Lagos (UNILAG) began his career in Nollywood as a writer and assistant director.
He furthered his skills in filmmaking and cinematography at New York Film Academy, pursued advanced character animation at Animation Mentor, and trained in visual effects at VFXLearning.
