Mass Burial For 15 Kebbi Residents Killed By Lakurawa

Fifteen victims of an attack in Mera village, Augie Local Government Area (LGA), Kebbi State by new terrorist group, Lakurawa have been given mass burial.

Gatekeepers News reports that the funeral prayer was attended by Deputy Governor, Umar Tafida, Commissioner of Police who led other security chiefs, and Emir of Argungu HRH Isma’ila Mera.

Tafida offered condolences and support to bereaved families saying that the State Governor is with them and will work closely with security agencies to prevent further incidents.

Also, Emir of Argungu urged unity and resilience. He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure community safety.

The funeral prayer included prayers for peace and for the repose of the souls of the departed, with a commitment to strengthen regional security and stability.

The state government reassured residents of ongoing efforts to protect lives and prevent future tragedies.
