Liverpool defeated Aston Villa 2-0 in English Premier League (EPL) match played at Anfield on Saturday.
Gatekeepers News reports that Liverpool scored a goal in each half due to Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nubez’d outstanding performances.
The opener came in the 20 minutes when Darwin Nunez finished off a swift counter-attack from an Aston Villa corner kick, slotting home Salah’s pass from a tight angle.
Liverpool’s Backup goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher saved the team to maintain its lead going into halftime. Six minutes before the match came to an end, Salah sealed the deal with his fourth goal in four EPL matches.
Liverpool moved to the top of EPL table with five points, making it a total of 28 points from 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Manchester City which is in second place, lost to Brighton with 2-1.
