David Wilburn Parton, legendary American singer and actress, Dolly Parton’s older brother is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that Stella announced the death of her 82-year-old brother in a tribute posted on social media on Friday.
She wrote, “My brother David passed away peacefully this morning.”
“It’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but he got his angel wings and is now at peace.”
The singer expressed her love for her brother in another tribute posted on Threads
She wrote, “My brother David left us this morning. He finally got his angel wings. RIP dear soul. Love you forever.”
The cause of David’s death was however not disclosed as his sister has not yet commented publicly on his passing.
David isn’t the only member of Parton’s family that died in recent years. Randy Parton, Dolly’s youngest brother, died at the age of 67 following a battle with cancer.
Also, Floyd Parton, another of the singer’s younger brothers died in December 2018 at the age of 61.
