Nigerian artist David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has announced plans to mark his 32nd birthday with a donation of N300 million to support orphanages.
Gatekeepers News reports that the singer shared this announcement on his X handle on Monday morning.
Davido indicated that the funds would be directed not only to orphanages but also to a charity organisation dedicated to combating drug abuse among young people. He said additional details about the donation will be provided in future posts.
“Once again, for my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon,” he tweeted.
In November 2021, Davido donated N250 million to 292 orphanages to mark his 29th birthday.
