Nigerian dancehall singer, Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo popularly known as Blackface has said the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz’s multiple attempts to reunite failed because he was not included.
Gatekeepers News reports that Plantashun Boiz which had Tuface Idibia, Faze, and Blackface was formed in 1996. The group disbanded in 2004 due to creative differences and personal issues but briefly reunited in 2007.
In a recent episode of ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ podcast, the host asked Blackface if there was any chance that the group might reunite again.
The singer revealed that his colleagues had attempted to reunite without him but were unsuccessful.
He said, “Without me, they have tried and they have failed. Many times. You saw them in all those shows that they were going.”
“They tried but they failed. But what I must say is I’m the plantation. So let it be known. Forget the fake memo that they spread before.”
Blackface had in September, called for a reunion of the defunct music group, urging his fans to join the mission.
Blackface has been attacking Tuface since 2015 for recording ‘African Queen’ which he allegedly wrote.
He also said in 2017, that Tuface sabotaged his career in the music industry.
Blackface extended an olive branch to 2Baba in 2023 after asking for his forgiveness.
