JUST IN: Electoral Comission Declares Mahama President-Elect Of Ghana

Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has officially declared former President John Mahama the winner of the country’s 2024 presidential election.

Gatekeepers News reports that Mahama, candidate of National Democratic Congress (NDC) defeated the ruling party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Mahamadu Bawumia by 1.7 million votes.

Chairman of the electoral commission, Jean Mensa, declared Mr Mahama the president-elect, having secured more than 50 per cent of the total votes.

Mahama whobpolled 6.3 million votes won 13 regions while Bawumia who polled 4.5 million votes won in only three regions.
