Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman has been named the 2024 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Men’s Player of the Year.
Gatekeepers News reports that Lookman emerged victorious, defeating Achraf Hakimi, Serhou Guirassy, Ronwen Williams, and Simon Adingra to claim the prestigious award.
Lookman is the sixth Nigerian to win the honour, joining Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Amuneke, Nwankwo Kanu, Victor Ikpeba, and Victor Osimhen in an elite group.
This recognition solidifies Lookman’s status as one of Africa’s top players, having also been nominated for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
