JUST IN: Tinubu Appoints Eight New Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed eight permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies in some states and geopolitical zones.

Gatekeepers News reports that Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga announced this in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu appoints eight new Permanent Secretaries’ released on Monday evening.

Onanuga said, “The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation recommended that the new permanent secretaries be appointed after diligent selection.”

The new appointees are Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia State), Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa State), Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi State), Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu State), Kalba Usman (Gombe State), Usman Aminu (Kebbi State), Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers State) and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State).

Onanuga noted that it was the second set of eight permanent secretaries appointed by the president, following those appointed last June from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, South East and South-South.

He added that President Tinubu urged the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence, and innovation in serving the nation.
