The immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo state, Comrade Philip Shaibu has congratulated Ademola Lookman for winning the best CAF 2024 men African player of the year.
Gatekeepers News reports that the former deputy Governor in a statement released, said it is a great honour for Nigerians and the country to have another Nigeria winning it back to back.
Shaibu said the award will go a long way to inspire many Nigerian young players to put more effort into playing for their clubs and Nigeria.
Ademola Lookman has also won the Europa League, Atalanta Player of the Season, Named in Europa League Team of the Year, Hat trick vs. Leverkusen in the Europa League final, 18 G/A in Serie A last season, 16 G/A in Serie A and UCL so far this season and Goals in the AFCON Last 16 and quarterfinal.
