The first edition of Lagos Shopping Festival came to an end on Thursday with stunning performances from Young Jonn and Teni The Entertainer.
Gatekeepers News reports that the three-day shopping experience and music fiesta began on December 23 at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
The free festival turned out to be the biggest event in Lagos at the end of the year. It was attended by people from all walks of life, including music lovers and entrepreneurs.
It began with electrifying performances from Adekunle Gold, Wande Coal, and Ayo Maff. The event rounded up with stunning performances from Young Jonn, Teni, and EmmaOMG.
Disk jockeys like DJ Neptune, D’Incredible DJ, DJ Dips, and DJ YK Mule also kept the festival attendees entertained.
The event is powered by Lagos state government in collaboration with Chain Reactions Africa, a public relations firm.
The festival’s primary objective is to connect shoppers with Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), providing opportunities for value-driven collaborations and growth with innovators, entertainers, and the creative industry.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu while speaking at the event, commended the organisers for creating an “unforgettable blend of entertainment and commerce in Lagos state.”
He also praised them for reigniting the culture of strategic scaling and optimization of small businesses, noting that the hitch-free event is a testament to their “excellent organizational skills and event management capability”.
The Governor said the festival has demonstrated its ability to drive collaboration and business connectivity.
