Social media commentator Martins Otse, who is also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has claimed that his NGO suffered a significant hacking incident, resulting in the theft of over ₦180 million from its account.

Gatekeepers News reports that in an Instagram video posted on Friday,VeryDarkMan alleged that the misappropriated funds were redirected to an unknown account.

He said to mitigate further risks, the NGO’s app has been temporarily taken offline for maintenance.

VeryDarkManreassured his followers that updates regarding the ongoing recovery efforts will be shared in due course.

“I’ve not been myself these past few days,” Otse shared.

“Somebody hacked into the NGO website, and N180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve tracked the person, and one suspect has been arrested.

“The account is now on PND (Post No Debit). There’s N20 million left, while N160 million was diverted. We’re heading to Jos to recover the money.”

Earlier in October, Otse established the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, which quickly gained traction, securing over ₦35 million in donations within just a few hours.

Renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, commonly known as Don Jazzy, added to the initiative with a generous contribution of ₦100 million shortly thereafter.
