Award-winning Nigerian singer and actress, Tiwatope Savage popularly known as Tiwa Savage has hinted at retirement.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tiwa Savage in a post on her Instagram story on Saturday morning, said she might retire from singing after the release of her next album whose title and release date are unknown.
She wrote, “This is might be my last studio album. I am tired, I don try.”
The 44-year-old mother of one rose to prominence after the release of her breakout single ‘Kele Kele Love’ in 2010.
Tiwa Savage became the first female African artiste to win Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2018.
Her debut album ‘Once Upon a Time’ was released in 2013. She released her second album ‘R.E.D’ in 2015.
She released her debut extended play ‘Sugarcane’ in 2017 and followed it up with the ‘Celia’ album in 2020. ‘Water and Garri’ was released in 2021.
Tiwa Savage’s debut ‘Water and Garri’ premiered on Prime Video on May 10, 2024.
She released the R&B single ‘Forgiveness’ in October and her present last album ‘Mega Money Mega’ some weeks ago.
Tiwa Savage has also won several awards, including the Best African Act at 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards.
