Support Tinubu For A Better Nigeria— Oyebanji To Nigerians

Governor of Ekiti state, Biodun Oyebanji has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his efforts to achieve a remarkable turnaround in the country.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor made the appeal at 2025 Inter-faith Thanksgiving Service held at the main theatre of Obafemi Awolowo Civic and Convention Centre, Ado Ekiti on Thursday.

Oyebanji also enjoined citizens to stop making negative comments and confessions about the country, adding that Nigeria was on the path to economic recovery and prosperity.

The Governor said Tinubu means well for Nigerians with his reforms which have been yielding expected dividends and asked Nigerians should be grateful to God for giving them a courageous leader in person of Tinubu, who, he said, was not afraid of taking decisions that were in the overall interest of the masses.

Oyebanji further restated his commitment to working harder for the development and prosperity of Ekiti.

While stating that he had no excuse not to live up to the expectations of the people of the state, the governor said that God had prepared him well for the job with the experience he had garnered in governance over the years.

He attributed the recent increase in federal allocations to the state to the magnanimity of the president, who approved increment in allocations to states after the fuel subsidy removal.

Oyebanji said that the increase in monthly allocations had resulted in an increase in the salaries of civil servants and other welfare packages for citizens who are not on government payroll as well as the ongoing and completed projects in the state.

He urged kind-hearted Ekiti sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora to emulate two prominent legal luminaries, Chiefs Afe Babalola and Wole Olanipekun, by mobilising support for the state government, leveraging their influence, resources, and goodwill.
