Fire engulfed one-storey building on Abike Suleiman Street in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), led by Permanent Secretary Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, responded promptly after receiving distress calls.
The agency activated its Emergency Response Plans and dispatched its Response Team from the Lekki Base.
Upon arrival at the scene, the LASEMA Shark Response Team observed that the building was fully engulfed in flames.
While the exact cause of the fire was not determined at the time of this report, it was confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries associated with the incident.
Oke-Osanyintolu emphasised that LASEMA’s swift response, in coordination with other emergency responders, effectively prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
He said, ”The inferno was contained from escalating to adjoining buildings. The fire has been completely extinguished, and the dampening down operation has been concluded.”
