I’m The Best Governor Rivers Ever Had— Wike

Nyesom Wike, minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has said he is the best Governor ever to manage the affairs of Rivers State.

Gatekeepers News reports that Wike said this at a luncheon he hosted in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers state on Friday.

The minister denied allegations by Peter Odili, a former Governor of the state, that he almost turned River state into his private estate.

Odili had said Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of the state emancipated the people by preventing Wike from turning the state into his property.

Responding, Wike said he was intentional about Rivers’ progress during his tenure as Governor.

He said, “I paid money for Rivers people to be medical doctors. I am trying to make Rivers state the medical hub of south-south Nigeria.”

“How did I now come to convert Rivers state into a personal estate?”

“I am the best governor that Rivers state has ever produced. How did I convert Rivers state as my personal estate? And people will not answer simple questions.”
