Kano Gov Swears In 7 Commissioners – 6 Perm Secs

Governor of Kano state, Abba Yusuf has sworn in seven new Commissioners and six new Permanent Secretaries.

Gatekeepers News reports that the appointment is part of his administration’s efforts to provide good governance to the people of the state.

The Governor also swore in 13 Special Advisers at a ceremony held at the Government House, Kano.

The new commissioners include Ibrahim Wayya, Information; Shehu Sagagi, Investment, Commerce and Industry; Dahiru Muhammad, Environment; Ismail Aliyu, Finance; Gaddafi Shehu, Power and Sustainable Energy; Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, Rural and Community Development; and Nura Maaji, Public Procurement.

Yusuf charged the new appointees to be dedicated and committed to their duties.

He noted that their appointments were made after the careful selection of capable hands that would contribute to efforts to achieve good governance in the state.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing infrastructure, education, health, women and youth empowerment, water supply, and enhanced agriculture.

Yusuf commended members of the State House of Assembly for their cooperation and dedication to the development of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the newly-appointed Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry, Shehu Sagagi, thanked the Governor for the appointments.

Sagagi assured Governor Yusuf that they would work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed on them, vowing to live above board.
