Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum on Thursday commended the management of the state Geographic Information System (BOGIS) for their impressive project implementation that is revolutionizing land administration in the State.
Gatekeepers News reports that Zulum also seized the opportunity to urge residents to promptly pay all land dues so that the state government will have enough finances to continue to implement people-oriented projects.
The Governor disclosed this during the commissioning of a fully furnished 180-seater capacity and of a Mini Media Studio auditorium in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.
According to the governor, “All these projects executed by BOGIS were solely from administrative and other charges collected by the agency.
“I want to commend the Executive Secretary of BOGIS, Engr Adam Bababe, the Board and other members of BOGIS for projects executed with meagre funds within the agency,” Zulum said.
The governor stated that he is delighted with the projects executed and urged the citizens to always pay their land dues ” as at when due ”
The Executive Secretary of BOGIS, Engr Adam Bababe commended the governor for the exceptional support given to the agency towards carrying out its activities.
” These initiatives Your Excellency is tow the line of your administration’s community-driven project implementation.
BOGIS Auditorium: The 180-seater capacity auditorium in BOGIS has been designed, constructed and fully furnished to serve as the interaction centre for all stakeholders relating to the agency, these stakeholders start with the holders of land titles, staff of the agency, solicitors and traditional institution.
” The Mini Media Studio: The Agency, as we all know, is a technical one in nature and the need for continuous sensitization,
community engagement, awareness creation and the rest of its activities” Engr. Bababe said.
