Lakurawa Terrorists Killed 3 Airtel Employees In Kebbi— Police

Kebbi state police command has disclosed that Lakurawa terrorists killed three employees of Airtel in the state on Friday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the deceased were reportedly installing a surveillance mast in the area when they were gunned down.

Lakurawa infiltrated parts of Sokoto and Kebbi from Niger Republic and Mali. They invaded a construction site at Gumki village in Arewa Local Government Area (LGA) on the night.

Nafiu Abubakar, spokesman of the state police command noted that four people including an indigene, were killed.

He said the deceased were immediately evacuated to Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

Abubakar further noted that Bello Sani, the state’s commissioner of police has deployed tactical teams to the area to deal with the gunmen.

He said, “The commissioner has deployed additional tactical teams to the location where the incident happened with the aim of arresting the perpetrators.”

“The incident happened on Friday night with three staff of the Airtel and one indigene killed in the attack.”
