Nollywood actress and model, Jemima Osunde has revealed that she is battling with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a bacteria infection that has affected her health for three years.
Gatekeepers News reports that H. pylori is a type of bacteria that infects the stomach and duodenum which is the first part of the small intestine. Untreated H.pylori infection may lead to complications, including peptic ulcer, gastritis, and stomach cancer.
The actress in a post on her official X account, revealed that she contracted the bacteria infection from the food she ate at a movie set in Ibadan.
Jemima said the infection developed into gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), causing her to constantly battle for her health, with the past month being particularly challenging.
She said, “I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.”
