Governor of Plateau state, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has sacked five members of his cabinet.
Gatekeepers News reports that Secretary to the State Government (SGS), Architect Samuel Jatau confirmed the development in a statement, but didn’t give any official reason for their dismissal.
“The statement reads, “The governor has relieved the following commissioners of their duties, effective immediately.”
“We appreciate their service to the state and wish them success in their future political endeavors.”
The dismissed commissioners are Chrysanthus Dawam, commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning; Noel Nkup, commissioner of Youth and Sports.
Others include Jamila Tukur, commissioner of Tourism and Hospitality; Obed Goselle, Science and Technology; and Sule Musa, commissioner of Commerce and Industry.
The Governor approved Sunday Alex from Bassa LGA, Joyce Ramnap from Langtang South, Sylvanus Dongtoe from Shendam, Nicholas Baamlong from Qua’an Pam, and Cornelius Doeyok from Qua’an LGA to serve as Commissioners.
He appreciated and wished the former commissioners, the best in their future endeavors.
